The Lockheed Martin/Boeing FB-22 was a proposed supersonic stealth bomber aircraft marketed to the United States Air Force. Its design was derived from the F-22 Raptor air superiority fighter. Lockheed Martin proposed its unsolicited design in the early 2000s as an interim "regional bomber" to complement the aging U.S. strategic bomber fleet. Lockheed Martin suspended work on the concept following the 2006 Quadrennial Defense Review, which called for a new and much larger strategic Next-Generation Bomber by 2018; this program would eventually morph into the Long Range Strike Bomber.
